A child disappears. A family is torn apart. Every minute matters.
Boris is four years old.
At first light, he vanishes without a trace.
In a modest house in Jumet, detectives find the aftermath of a violent domestic argument: bloodstains, a ransacked bedroom, parents blaming one another, and an older brother unable to explain what really happened.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department, forensic scientists, dog handlers, a police helicopter and journalists… all of Belgium holds its breath as the search begins.
But as the hours pass, every certainty begins to crumble. Behind the lies, the domestic violence and the carefully maintained façades, a far darker truth starts to emerge.
Inspired by a true case, The Boris Case takes readers behind the scenes of a real criminal investigation, alongside those who follow every lead, confront mounting doubts and race desperately against time to find a missing child before it is too late.
A crime novel of rare intensity, where every chapter brings you closer to the truth… and to the unimaginable.
